Return to Thief Wine and Rupena's in Milwaukee

I was back in Milwaukee recently and before I boarded my train for Chicago, I stopped into the Milwaukee Public Market for a repeat of my first trip into town, Rupena's Fine Foods Pancetta Burger and a glass of Italian red wine at Thief Wine.

I'm pleased to say that my result were consistent from several months ago. The burger was cooked evenly medium-rare and the pancetta was crispy. It's a good idea to chase this heart-stopper with a bit of Italian red and Italian frizzante.

I had a quick conversation with one of the proprietors at Thief, Aimee, about the harvest in California. It's a pleasure to see Thief expanding and showcasing some great wines from around the world, and of course Sonoma County.
